AMPHITHEATER RIBBON CUTTING

The much anticipated completion of the Wellington Amphitheater is just around the corner and will soon be home to a wide variety of events and community gatherings. Construction on the facility began in November of 2009. The main structure is approximately 3,200 square feet and includes two green rooms, restrooms, a loading/storage area and a large stage. The rear of the building features a large trellis that can be used for smaller events. The entire facility will also have sound and lighting systems.

Funding for the construction came primarily from the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners in the form of a grant worth more than $822,000.

The ribbon cutting ceremony is open to the public and scheduled for Friday, July 2nd at 6:00 PM with live music to follow.
