6th Annual 10-mile Race

Returning to the race is the popular Sebastian's 5K run/walk! This 5K is in memory of Sebastian Sarmiento, a courageous Wellington 9-year-old boy who lost his battle with cancer.

The race begins at 13900 Greenbriar Boulevard in front of the New Horizons Elementary School. 10 Miler registrations is $30 and $35 on race day. Sebastian's 5K Run/Walk is $20, day of race $25 and children under 14 are $15 and $20 on race day. Race day registration begins at 6:00 a.m. Pre-registration is available online at Active.com or you can pick up a registration form at FIT2RUN located in the Wellington Green Mall, Wellington Community Center and Village Park. Information and application forms are also available at www.wellingtonrunners.org. The race will also be chip timed by AccuChip and the course will have splits at the five mile marker. Complimentary post race refreshments will be provided for registered participants and first aid stations will line the course.

The run benefits the Kids Cancer Foundation of South Florida, a local foundation for children with cancer and blood disorders. Sponsors of this event include Celsius, Starbucks, Strathmore Bagels, The Children's Hospital at Palms West, Flex Power, FIT2RUN, Culligan, Greens and Riverside Bank.
