2012BEAUTIFUL WELLINGTON GRANTS
Depending upon the size of the proposed enhancement, two (2) grant amounts are available. Applications will be available beginning February 1, 2009. The completed application must be returned to Village offices by the close of business on March 31, 2009. The following grant amounts are available:
- Tier I - $10,000 maximum matching amount
- Tier II - $40,000 maximum matching amount
The Beautiful Wellington Tier III matching grant of $75,000 is also available by application. This grant is available for the replacement of community fences with concrete walls.
Matching grants are available for public thoroughfare improvement projects on Village thoroughfares; entranceways to various subdivisions and/or other public property or other properties the Village has interest in (i.e: maintenance easement, landscape easement). The grant funds herein are for non-commercial purposes and the funds shall be used for beautification improvements.
Grant funds may also be used for tree reforestation planting(s) on public or private properties.
Potential applicants include, but are not limited to the following: homeowners associations, community associations, civic associations or special districts. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide their share of matching funds. These grants require a minimum 50% matching funds by applicants. Applicants must match Village funding on at least a dollar-for-dollar basis.
All potential applicants are required to attend the mandatory application informational meeting. This meeting is scheduled for February 26, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. and will be held at the Village Meeting Hall, 12300 Forest Hill Boulevard.
